- Valley of vines and roses -
Dela på Facebook Dela på Twitter

In the heart of Route 62 – South Africa's longest wine route – south of Worcester, lies Robertson in a valley surrounded by majestic mountains. With a very low annual rainfall, harsh climate with hot, dry days and cool nights and calcareous soil, the wines produced in this area have unique flavours and are absolutely world class.

The area produces some of South Africa's best wines such as Weltevrede, Bon Courage, De Wetshof, Rooiberg, Bon Cap and Kranskop, to name a few.

The valley is known as "the valley of vines and roses" and was initially known for its dessert wines, but more recently also Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. In the early 1990s a red wine project was started which has highlighted the area's Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon for wine lovers both locally and internationally.
